THE BEST FROM AROUND THE WORLD
The IWGA Member International Sports Federations ensure that their very best athletes enter The World Games. Together with the stipulation for global representation, this brings about top-level competitions and maximum universality.
The federations draw up the selection criteria and establish the qualification rules for their contingent of athletes in The World Games accordingly. They ensure participation of the very best athletes and a good international spread, generally with all continents represented, for all events. The games’ quintessential attributes elite and universal are thus guaranteed.
As per the Rules of The World Games, the federations endeavor to present their events in ways that allow athletes to shine at their brightest while spectators are ensured maximum entertainment out of the performances. Each federation commits to stage its events in ways that enable spectators watching them for the first time to follow and enjoy the competitions.
In 2017 the World Games was at Wroclaw in Poland, and included glider aerobatics as a key element of FAI’s contribution.
Our aim is to provide forward information for everyone with an interest in aerobatic competition flying.
For this however we do need your help, so please make sure that your Aerobatic Club or National Airsport Control sends us details of all competitions that are open to pilots and/or judges from other countries and we’ll add them to our Championship Calendar so that they get the widest circulation possible.
